Sir Mark Hedley is the Chancellor of the Diocese of Liverpool. He is the Judge of the Consistory Court of the Diocese and determines all applications for Faculties on behalf of the Bishop. He also acts on behalf of the Bishop on the appointment of Surrogates, i.e., clergy authorised to receive applications for Marriage Licences. Sir Mark was appointed a High Court Judge in 2002.
Mr. Graham Wood, Q.C., is the Deputy Chancellor of the Diocese of Liverpool. He was called to the Bar in 1979 and appointed Silk in 2002.
Roger Arden is the Registrar of the Diocese of Liverpool and the Bishop’s Legal Secretary. He is also Chapter Clerk of Liverpool Cathedral. He is a Solicitor in practice in Liverpool, a former President of Liverpool Law Society and currently a serving member of the General Synod Legal Advisory Commission.
